The residential market has not been affected in our area the same as in other areas in the USA. The market for condos and free standing homes did not CRASH. The value of the homes came down of course but again did not crash.


The commercial business does not show the same amount of stress we can see in other areas. Our restaurants and anchor stores are making it thru this bad storm.


Our Malls are still open and showing great activity. Palm Desert "Westfield Mall" located in  the center of our Valley surprises our snow birds who compare with what is happening in their areas with their malls and comment the fact that so many stores are still open and in business.


Investing in residential or commercial properties in Palm Springs or Palm Desert or La Quinta still makes a lot of sense.
