Palm Desert Tennis Club in Palm Desert
The Palm Desert Tennis Club, developed in 1973 by Beverly and John Fleitz is a gated community of 100 3 bedroom condominiums. There are eight lighted championship tennis courts and a complete pro shop. Along with six swimming pools, five spas, and a fitness/exercise center, the Club House includes a comfortable lounge area, billiard room, free lending library and a well equipped kitchen. Breakfast and lunch are offered on weekends during the season.
Beverly Fleitz was a Wimbledon finalist in 1955 and was ranked as the number one female tennis player in the United States in 1959. Tennis immortals Rod Laver and Jack Kramer were original condominium owners.
Monthly fees for homeowners are currently $470.00, including maintenance, full tennis membership and use of all other club facilities.
In addition the Club offers a limited number of non-resident memberships, which include use of the tennis courts and other facilities. Non-resident family memberships cost $1,135 per year; single memberships are $910 per year
