The Palm Springs Unified School District is proud to be one of the finest of California's school districts. A team of more than 1,800 outstanding employees is providing a quality education to students in the Palm Springs area - one of the fastest growing regions in California.

Currently PSUSD has fourteen elementary schools, four middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, one independent study program, eight headstart/state preschools, three full-day headstart programs, four childcare programs, and an extensive adult education program. In striving to meet the needs of a diverse student body, the District provides a wide array of programs, including special education, instruction for English Learners, Tech Prep, athletics, advanced placement, SBCP, Title I, school-to work transition, GATE and many other services.

At Palm Springs Unified Schools, we are dedicated to reaching our mission: to provide each student with the most appropriate educational opportunities in a safe, secure environment so that all students can achieve their full potential as contributing members of the community. The Palm Springs Unified School District is located in the Coachella Valley, which is approximately 110 miles east of Los Angeles and 120 miles northeast of San Diego, in Riverside County, the fastest growing county in California. The District serves the students and families of Cathedral City, Desert Hot Springs, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, and Thousand Palms. In the last ten years, the area's population has increased significantly. Currently, the permanent population of the Coachella Valley is more than 275,000 and continues to grow.
